It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer.

ABOUT ME

Shri Nagendram
Founder & Lead Mathematics Tutor
I'm a psychologist with a background in engineering, currently pursuing a Master's in Educational Psychology. This unique blend of skills allows me to approach mathematics education with an understanding of how students learn and think. My teaching philosophy is a synthesis of Eastern and Western approaches, valuing both the discipline of consistent practice and the critical thinking fostered by focusing on the 'how' and 'why' behind the math.
My Approach
My core strength as a tutor lies in breaking down challenging topics into understandable and manageable parts, equipping students with the strategies and tools they need. I believe true mastery is built through active use and consistent practice, and I expect students to commit to giving their best effort. This disciplined approach not only solidifies their understanding but also builds confidence.

If you’re looking for a calm, structured learning environment where your child feels safe to ask questions, practice consistently, and discover that math can be both manageable and rewarding, feel free to reach out to learn more or to schedule a session.
Alina Fatakdawala
Mathematics Tutor (MYP 1–3)
I’m 21 years old and an IBDP graduate that is currently on a break from my university studies. I took Mathematics Analysis and Approaches, Physics, and Economics HL and have been pursuing a degree in engineering. My experience in engineering has taught me about the importance of understanding material in order to apply it to problems and throughout my studies I have developed the skills in order to do that effectively, which is something that I would like to share with any students that struggle with understanding maths
My Approach
My general approach is to interpret and break down problems into the different steps required to reach the final answer and ensure that the student is able to understand why each step is needed and are able to solve them so they are capable when it comes to solving problems as they continue to become more complicated. Therefore, I am truly open to any questions even if it means going back to explain basics in order to give students strong fundamentals that gives them not only proper understanding but also the confidence to be able to approach problems on their own and feel that they are correct in their approach. Alongside understanding, sufficient practice is another aspect that is required in order to build confidence in solving problems so it is expected that students will have the discipline to practice if they truly wish to improve.
As someone who struggled with asking questions to teachers in school as I was afraid to seem like I was taking longer with a concept than other students, I hope to create a comfortable environment where students do not feel pressured to regard me as an authority figure and can simply ask any questions they would have. Depending on each student’s questions I will cater the sessions to focus on their needs whether it is requiring an explanation of theory one week or guiding them through practice questions another week.
